God made this universe. We owe him our existence. But where is he? And if he cannot be seen, is he there? Invisible to the eye like the programmer is invisible to the game he created? Forever invisible from the inside, but the very existence proves his existence? Made a small video on that reflection: http://vimeo.com/user9087604/theprogrammer

John 16:33 “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Having made a couple of pictures of my three friends, this one came to my mind. How quickly togetherness seems to be overshadowed. Some rain, dark clouds, lots of cold wind and many humors turn sour. Virtue often isn't so much a quality of character, but of a well filled belly and a sunny sky. (Quoting C. S. Lewis very freely.) Trouble will show what someone is made of. In trouble true character, true virtue will shine through. Everybody is kind of a nice person as long as nothing stands in his way or is clouding his mind. It is in contrariety that the true colors shine through. But be of good cheer. Those, who are truly God's children, they will stand even in the midst of torrents of rain and twisted storms, ripping life apart like a tornado rips a house apart. As much as the house doesn't need it, the character does. Thus proven it can continue to grow closer to God. So, God's word says there will be trouble. However it will be spelt. It is how someone stands the storm that will show his firm beliefs. Those truly walking with God will not fall. They will be able to find shelter in God's shadow. Then, and only then, many will find, what David found so many years ago: Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Ps 23:4)

Exodus 4:1 Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you’?”
Has God ever appeared to you? Spoken to you? Been so close that the hair on your arm stood? Have you ever stood before God and felt his presence, his anger or his joy? And have you tried to tell somebody? Have you been sure it was God's voice who told you? There are many voices, many beings, many worlds between this and the next. Have you ever reached out to those worlds, only to be a fool in the worlds eye? Moses felt like a fool when God appeared to him and told him to go to Egypt. It seemed the least wise thing to do. But God spoke through Moses and did many powerful signs. Which made many believe, finally.รถ It is God's gift to let the message we bear find grace. Still, we are to carry it. No matter how foolish it seems in the eyes of an often unbelieving world. Trust God. He can still do signs and wonders and make a voive heard, a voice that is willing to speak out for him and to risk being laughed at for showing his biggest treasure. Don't fear. Trust God. Even if it looks silly or mad. Or because it looks silly and mad.

Psalm 145:14 The Lord upholds all those [of His own] who are falling and raises up all those who are bowed down.

With nobody I would have thought of to be there. All alone. - But this is not written to complain. The more I fall, the more I become grateful for the falling. There is a beauty in it, that I didn't know about. I have to trust that God will catch me somehow. Even if I will get wet. Or have been getting wet. I'll do it again. God is awesome and great. The world has become a sweet and meaningful place by falling, by having to give up my own importance. (Even if I am still choking every now and than, I pray God will see me through the choking as well, I feel like a cow to always chew and rechew things... he knows, he can save.)

(Jesus said) Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. John 14:1
These are comforting words. I love being comforted. And they talk abput being troubled. There may be reasons for that too. Sp many that Jesus found it worth a special mention.
Do I believe enough to put up with whatever is on my way? To I trust God enough to go through whatever is the way he lays out in front of me? Be it happy, soft paths in grassy slopes or muddy lane in damp nights.
Don't be troubled, whatever appears before you, but put all worries on Jesus. And enjoy the walk in crisp wood admiring the bright flowers on your way as on mine. It is moment like such that make me think: If this is earth, heaven must be a wonderful place beyond all words or pictures.
Do I believe enough to put up with whatever is on my way? To I trust God enough to go through whatever is the way he lays out in front of me? Be it happy, soft paths in grassy slopes or muddy lane in damp nights.
